IMECO LIMITED has its manufacturing facility strategically located on the National Highway No. 6 at the industrial town of Kharagpur with a close proximity to raw material sources, ports and the metropolitan city of Calcutta.
The factory has been established on an industrial area of 17.26 acres with over 100,000 square feet of covered manufacturing area. The Kharagpur factory is equipped with all manufacturing facilities for manufacture of various products including Air Preheater Baskets and Seals, Tubular Air Preheater Blocks, Collecting Electrodes, Discharge Electrodes, Impellers for Fans, Cold Rolled Metal Sections, Heavy and Medium Fabrication etc.
For movement of heavy raw materials and finished products, heavy material handling equipments including EOT cranes, Floor Cranes, Fork Lifts, Electric Hoists etc are in operation. Apart from the above, IMECO has in-house facilities for weighment, slitting and shearing of steel coils, enameling, blackening, packaging etc.

The above list is only indicative and not exhaustive. The manufacturing shed is divided into six bays with facilities for heavy trucks and trailers to enter any of the bays. The present capacity of the factory for heavy and medium fabrication is approximately 24,000 MT per annum on single shift.
IMECO has an in-house Design Department working in tandem with the manufacturing activities. The manufacturing of the IMECO products are governed under stringent quality systems to ensure production of high quality products the first time, every time and achieve greater customer satisfaction. IMECO is also undergoing ISO 9000:2000 standard to further improve the Quality Management System.
The facilities at the Kharagpur works are most modern and are undergoing advancements and upgradation from time to time for continuous improvement of quality and reduction of cost and greater safety. For more accurate data processing, recovery and operation, an ERP system from Microsoft is also under implementation.
IMECO also has a strong team of experienced site and service engineers to provide assistance and supervision during erection and commissioning of equipments and internals and for meeting the after sales requirement of the customers in minimum time.
Apart from the Kharagpur factory, IMECO has a warehouse of over 15,000 square feet located in Calcutta and one a Chennai.
